U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Releases Strategic Plan

Like it does every four years, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently updated its strategic plan to address the evolving issues facing Americans–including people with Alzheimer’s disease and their family caregivers.

For FY’2014-2018, HHS’ Strategic Plan includes several action steps impacting the dementia population. Among them: improving the delivery of community living services by strengthening the reach and effectiveness of state systems; increasing the quality and scope of existing systems that serve people with Alzheimer’s disease and their families; and identifying how to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.
